Description
The collection consists of 13 binder volumes containing photographs, clippings, articles on Robert Louis Stevenson, sites
associated with Stevenson, his friends and family, and Robert Louis Stevenson Club activities. Also there are three cartons
containing collected audiovisual materials on Stevenson and a small series of books, plays and pamphlets.
Background
The Robert Louis Stevenson Club of Monterey created the official club archives documenting the Club's history and their research
on the life and works of Robert Louis Stevenson, who stayed in Monterey in 1879 and described his time in the area in "The
Old Pacific Capitol."
