Immediate Source of Acquisition
The collection was donated to California State Polytechnic University, Pomona by the
Wine Society of Riverside in January of 2001.
The Wine Society of Riverside was formed in 1983. The group hosted monthly wine
tastings at various locations, using a scoring system created by University of
California, Davis. The group also produced a newsletter titled
Monthly
Re-Taste
for its members. As of 2001, the Wine Society of Riverside was
still active but its members communicated informally with each other and the society
no longer produced a newsletter.
The collection contains newsletters from the Wine Society of Riverside, wine tasting
announcements and catalogs, and information and articles about wine.
The collection is arranged alphabetically by folder title.
The collection was processed by Rob Strauss in July 2018.
