Full title:Children in an afternoon class at the Christopher House in Chicago, learning folk dances under the direction of
Tetsu Sugi. Tetsu, a former junior and high school substitute teacher in Los Angeles, voluntarily left the west coast prior
to the evacuation of persons of Japanese ancestry. She went to Little Rock, Arkansas, for a short visit with friends, and
then came to Chicago for a permanent place at Christopher House. She teaches gymnasium, sewing and Americanism to children
of grade school age, young adults and older adults in a full schedule of day and night classes. Popularly known to her groups
