in Denver, Colorado. Young Kenneth, a former orchardist, was born and raised in Hollister, California, where he took an active
part in church and community activities, was a mate (adult leader) of a troop of Sea Scouts, and pursued a hobby of metal
working. A voluntary evacuee, he moved to Denver and found a place where his talents as a precision machinist could be directly
