Records in this series from banks that are known to have merged include: First Federal Trust Co. and Crocker National Bank which merged formed Crocker First National Bank of San Francisco; National Bank of Commerce in New York and the Guaranty Trust Company which merged to form the Bank of Commerce in New York; and Merchants National Bank and United Bank and Trust Company (of the United Security Group) which merged to form Bank of America of California.
