Outreach Material

Physical Description: 1.5 Linear Feet
Language of Material: Hmong; Mong, English

Scope and Contents

This subseries consists of records related to Hmong outreach and instruction intended for Hmong residents and instructors. Materials for Hmong residents include handouts on nutrition, meal planning, recipes, housekeeping, breastfeeding, and infant nutrition. The handouts are in a mix of only English, Hmong, and simplified Hmong. A portion of the records are Hmong translations of 4-H handouts and publications. Materials for instructors consist of lesson plans and handouts on Hmong nutrition and food habits. A small portion of the records contain membership and participation information.

Arrangement

The Hmong records are arranged by folder and by topic. Materials for instructors are mixed throughout, with a few folders dedicated to instruction materials.

Scope and Contents

The photographic material consists of photographs and slides of various 4-H events, activities, and participants from the 1920s through 2002.

Arrangement

These 4-H photographs were originally housed and organized in three-ring binders with each binder representing decades from the organization's inception in the early 1900s, until the beginning of the twenty-first century. The photographs have been removed from their original housing and placed in folders. All efforts were made to represent the original order of the photographs. Folder titles reflect the names of each binder in the collection.
