Additional information included inside the negative enclosure: "About person in party scene aboard MCKENNA: Annie Jaegels lived in Mountain View. Her married name was Leu. My parents met the Jaegels because my father and my uncle used to haul hay down to Jaegels' landing in Mountain View. I remember the Sommer family, they were relatives of my aunt's. And these were two of the Sommers - their father, ferryboat captain, and Pete are in this picture. They were quite a bit older than we were.

Additional information included inside the negative enclosure: "Mrs. Anderson met Capt. Anderson at Eureka while GEORGINA was being built. Sailed with her sister and brother-in-law in the new GEORGINA down to Sydney. Capt. Anderson also sailed for Sydney in FOREST HOME. They were married there. Mrs. Brandt and Mrs. Anderson two of four daughters of Capt. and owner of the original GEORGINA, a full rigged ship out of Valparaiso. Father had been pilot at Iquique lived on a fine old hulk with family, had only condenser in harbor aboard. As pilot put chief Peruvian men-o-war ashore in war with Chile. Peruvians beached and burned hulk, family fled to Chile.
