Snapshot album of an unidentified young woman or group of women, taken around 1910-1913. Chiefly photographs of friends on hiking and camping excursions around the San Francisco Bay Area. Identifiable locations are Mt. Diablo (Contra Costa County), Mt. Tamalpais (Marin County), Mt. St. Helena (Napa County), the beach at Land's End (San Francisco), and the Hacienda del Pozo de Verona (near Pleasanton in Alameda County). A campsite and cottage named "Vagabondia", probably in the East Bay hills, is pictured frequently. Activities picture include hiking, hunting, posing in costumes for pageants and home entertainment, playing lutes, and riding in wagons and automobiles. A series of pictures of a tent encampment at the Hacienda is apparently the 1912 western conference of the YWCA, hosted by Phoebe Hearst on her property at the Hacienda del Pozo de Verona, the exterior of which is pictured. A YWCA building, possibly in Oakland, is pictured on another page. Another identifiable event is the Mountain Play on Mt. Tamalpais, and the play is probably the first production there; "Abraham and Isaac", of 1913.
