Born in 1922, William Carney served in the Air Force as a gunner in World War II. Carney later taught French in the University
of California system. He published three works of Gay erotic literature in his lifetime, "The Real Thing, "A Year in the Closet,"
and "The Rose Exterminator." Carney died in 1987, at the age of 64.
