Alfred Wheeler, a native of New York, came to San Francisco, Calif. around 1849. He was a member of the first Calif. State
Legislature, a U.S. attorney and author of "Land titles in San Francisco" (1852). Allison Wheeler, Alfred's brother, arrived
in San Francisco in 1855.
