Note:
The town then known as Venice of America was constructed by Abbot Kinney and opened in 1905. In 1907 the Venice Club was formed
by a group of local residents "for social intercourse, amusement, and recreation of its members." While the incorporation
papers specified a 50-year life for the club, it is unknown how long the Venice Club actually existed.
