Note:

Samuel Breck was born on February 25, 1834 in Middleboro, Massachusetts. Graduating from West Point in 1855, he rose through the ranks and eventually became an Adjutant General before retirement in 1898. Breck died in Brookline, Massachusetts on February 23, 1918.
