Robert Harold Scott (born October 14, 1889 in Liverpool, England ; died July 185,1982 in San Jose, California) was a court
reporter and atheist who challenged his being prevented to offer his views on Bay Area radio stations. He appealed to the
FCC who affirmed his right to offer his views over the air on July 19, 1946.
CBS exercised its option to buy KQW in 1949, changing the station's call letters to KCBS.
