Abstract:

Original gouache paintings by Robert C. Stebbins used to illustrate the field guide Western Reptiles and Amphibians (by Robert C. Stebbins, most recent ed. published 2003). Includes paintings of salamanders, newts, toads, frogs, turtles, geckos, lizards and snakes. Also includes original pen and ink drawings by Stebbins used to illustrate the field guide Birds of Lassen Volcanic National Park and Vicinity (by Cyril A. Stebbins and Robert C. Stebbins, 1953) and other unidentified publications.
