Abstract:
Joel Hedgpeth discusses his family and education, ecology, ecological communities and the work of Ed Ricketts, his time as
Director of the Pacific Marine Station at Dillon Beach, the proposed Nuclear Power Plant of Pacific Gas and Electric at Bodega
Bay, the Marine Science Center at Oregon State University, picnogonid research and Antarctica, and environmental health issues
of the San Francisco Bay and Delta. In the course of the interviews he also touches upon editing the Treatise on marine ecology
and paleoecology, and Ricketts' Between Pacific tides.
