Also contains letters from Maude's family and friends including father Thomas Taylor (with his last will and testament), siblings Alice Taylor, Christopher Thomas Taylor, Jeff Taylor, Marie E. Taylor and Nellie Taylor, her mother Mrs. J.C. Toll, brother R.O. Toll and sister-in-law Luella Laird.

Maude Toll a resident of Santa Cruz, Calif., married Herbert F. Laird in 1890. They had a son Kenneth Laird in 1891. Maude Toll is also known as Bertha Maude Toll, Bertha Maude Taylor and Maude Laird (Mrs. H.F. Laird).
