[Leroy Marcus Glodell photograph album of Escobar Rebellion in Mexico, and other photographs]

Glodell, Leroy Marcus, creator, creator.

Photograph album chronicling the Escobar Rebellion in Mexico, 1929, chiefly the front line activities of government forces led by General Juan Andréu Almazán in Jiménez, Reforma and elsewhere. Also includes a few views taken in 1920 of reconstruction of a bridge damaged during the Mexican Revolution; a few combat scenes taken during an unidentified conflict, dated 1924; and a few undated photographs of soldiers (?) posing with various machine guns. Also includes two military identification photographs of Glodell, portraits of dancers Venezia Fraudi and Italia Fraudi (perhaps taken or collected by Glodell during his touring of Mexico in the 1920s as a dance partner of Spanish dancer Dorita Caprano), a portrait of matador Hugo Espinosa, and a portrait of an unidentified matador (or someone in costume as such) while mourning of the death of president-elect Álvaro Obregón in 1928.
