Lawrence Talbot (born 1925 in New York City ; died March 19, 2005 in Berkeley, California) was a professor in the Department
of Mechanical Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley from 1951 to 1991 doing work in high altitude and high
speed aerodynamics that was used in satellite design, and was an emeritus professor in that department until his death in
2005. He was known for his pioneering work in fluid mechanics and bioengineering.
