Abstract:

Views are primarily of mines and mining facilities in Alaska and Mexico. Alaskan views include Juneau, Thane, Treadwell, and mining facilities identified as "A.G.M. Co." (Alaska Gastineau Mining Co.?) Many scenic views as well as mining-related views. A professionally produced album of Treadwell facilities photographed by Case & Draper depicts machinery, company stores and general interior and exterior views of the mine and associated buildings. Identified Mexican mining scenes include Bolaños (Jal.) and Rosario (Sin.) A few snapshots relating to oil fields in Southern California are also present.
