Kathleen Thompson Norris was the author of popular romance novels and the highest paid female author of her time. She was
married to author Charles Gilman Norris (Cigi), brother of author Frank Norris. Her younger sister was Margaret A. Hartigan
(Mark), married to Charles Conway Hartigan, a Rear Admiral in the United States Navy. More information on Kathleen Norris
and her family can be found in her autobiography, Family Gathering (1959).
