Typescript copies of two works by Jacobsen: "Family History," a short biography of his father, Jacob Christian Jacobsen, containing information on his arrival in Montana in 1889 from Denmark, farming in Montana, and growing potatoes in Idaho. And "Recollections," concerning his childhood on a small Idaho potato farm; the Bannock Indians; his own farm in Buhl, Idaho from 1929; the depression years; his removal to Tehachapi, California; potato and sugar-beet cultivation in California; research on potato diseases; work with the U.S. Department of Agriculture and with the University of California, Davis; the 1952 earthquake in Tehachapi, etc.
