Isaac Bloch was rabbi of Congregation Nove Sholom, in Desert Hot Springs, Calif., whose new synagogue was dedicated in 1958. Bloch served as a circuit rabbi for California's Imperial Valley and for Yuma County, Arizona, during the late 1940s and the 1950s. During World War II, he was a director of the United Service Organizations in northern Maine for the National Jewish Welfare Board.
