Abstract:
Typewritten correspondence on organizational letterhead stationery and numbered lessons covering topics related to the study
of spiritualism and metaphysics. Most of the works are signed by Oakland based African American co-founders Harriet Luella
McCollum and Reverend John Willis Ring. Most of the correspondence combines reports on outreach efforts to teach spiritualism
in other cities and regions of the United States with lectures on aspects of spiritualism. Frequently mentioned are principles
espoused by Andrew Jackson Davis who wrote a book titled "Harmonial Philosophy" and around which the organization was formed.
Includes organization founding constitution and by-laws (1932). Also includes correspondence and essays on similar subjects
by other authors and the 1941 annual report of The Caravan of East and West Inc. submitted by Mizra Ahmad Sohrab.
