Abstract:

Collection consists of clippings, press releases, and other materials relating to the Smith Act (Alien Registration Act) of 1940 , the trial of Harry Bridges, and civil rights issues in the labor movement. These materials came to the Bancroft Library from the library of the International Longshoremen's and Warehousemen's Union in San Francisco.
