Peano, sculptor and friend of Jack London, was for a time a teacher at Lick-Wilmerding in San Francisco, Calif. He worked
in architectural ornamentation and sculpting, having developed a method for lost-wax casting that allowed extreme detail as
seen in his Doors of Life.
