Abstract:
Contains three notebooks with handwritten entries for personal daily expenses of Guy Tyson Slaughter and family for food,
clothing, utitlities, etc. Entries are entered into columns for each family member, G.T.S. (i.e. Guy Tyson Slaughter), L.K.S
(i.e. Libbie Kilton Slaughter), Robert (his son), other children, and general expenses. Loose notes with additional expenses
are inserted throughout the notebooks. Also contains two additional months of expenses, December, 1909 and November, 1910
written on the verso of two advertising cards of the Hastings Clothing Co., San Francisco for cravenette overcoats.

Guy Tyson Slaughter (born November 26, 1876, Iowa; died October 12, 1947, Alameda County, California) was a veteran of World
War I and a business partner in an import and export business, Guy T. Slaughter and Co. He and his wife, Libbie Kilton Slaughter,
lived in Berkeley, California.
