One Guards and Pickets pass No. 804 issued to Mr. Nolt, with expiration date March 31st, 1865, from Headquarters Provost Marshal
General, Defences South of Potomac in Alexandra, Virginia, by Command of Colonel H. H. Wells, Provost Marshal General and
Captain and A. A. A. General William W. Winship. Printed on the back of the pass is an oath to defend the Constitution and
Government of the United States and to not abuse the privileges granted by the pass.
