Down There Press was founded by sex educator Joani Blank in 1975 in San Francisco, California. It was an independently run feminist book, DVD, and audiobook publisher that focused on sexuality. They were well-known for their publications regarding youth and adolescent sexuality. Blank was also the founder of Good Vibrations, a sex positive retail store for sexual pleasure enhancement products.
