Files, both copies and originals, on events in or near San Felipe el Real, Chihuahua, coming directly or indirectly under
the jurisdiction of the Guadalajara Real Audiencia. Includes royal decrees, orders issued by the Audiencia or by San Felipe
officials, and related documents, quoting as background material other documents dating from as early as the 17th century.
Folder 1 contains documents, 1728-1729, concerning Diego González de la Herrán, Assemblyman and Chief Constable of San Felipe.
Folder 2 contains a file, 1743-1747, on the concession of land titles to residents of the district of Santa Isabel, including
reports of Juan Francisco Tarín, commissioner in charge of the surveying, and decrees of Manuel de Güemes, Judge Subdelegate
of land cases in much of Nueva Vizcaya. Folder 3 contains materials, 1772-1773, relating to property of the exiled Jesuits,
to authorizations for its disposal, and particularly to revenue from San Felipe.
