Abstract:

Discusses founding and early history of the Di Giorgio Fruit Corporation, and its operations and leaders from 1920-1962, when its business was strictly agricultural. He discusses reasons for corporate diversification, and the Di Giorgio Corporation's growth through 1983. In addition, he discusses Di Giorgio's wine industry interests.
