Notes on materials for the history of the Americas in the archives of Spain, made by Clark while resident investigator in
Europe for the Smithsonian Institution written during one of Clark's visits to Europe to investigate archival matters. Useful
as a kind of guide or description of certain aspects of Spanish and other European despositories. Emphasis seems to be on
Spanish American linguistics, geography, and Indian population, customs, and labor. The note books are not dated.
