Yosemite Valley and vicinity. Among the notable views are Yosemite Falls with ice (in August), Bridal Veil Fall views with
rubble on the valley floor from prior floods evident, a view near Nevada Falls with evidence of a recent rock slide in the
background, and a lake or wetland that was later drained.

Frederick Brumagim was the son on Jacob Henry Brumagim, a pioneer banker of Marysville, Calif., and he was the brother of
Mrs. William E. Dana. He may have commissioned the photographs or taken them himself on a family trip to Yosemite in the early
1870's.
