Sidney Akselrad (June 1, 1921, Pittsburgh, PA - November 14, 2006, Palo Alto, California) was a rabbi in Northern California
for many years. He first served as the rabbi of Berkeley's Temple Beth El (1952-1962) and then at Temple Beth Am, in Los Altos
(1962-1988). He also worked voluntarily as a chaplain at Stanford University for more than 20 years, and he was a member of
Rotary International for more than 45 years.
