Photographs document the construction of new buildings and reconstruction of older structures in San Francisco during the
aftermath of the earthquake and fire of 1906. Also includes photographs of a few Los Angeles buildings taken during the same
general time frame. Structures depicted include Sheldon Building, Rincon Warehouse, Johann Schmidt Building, Schroth Building,
Palace Hotel, Whittell Building, Call Building, San Fernando Building (Los Angeles), Fairmont Hotel, Kerkhoff Building (Los
Angeles), Wright-Callender Building (Los Angeles), Columbia Theater and the Ferry Building.
