Abstract:
San Francisco views show St. Mary's Cathedral, a Chinese New Year celebration, and the Palace of Fine Arts (before restoration).
Some views are related to the Oakland Mole (ferry and rail terminal). Other California towns pictured include: Camanche, Volcano,
Campo Seco, Mariposa, Hornitos, Big Oak Flat, Second Garrote, La Grange, Murphy's, Michigan Bar, and Calaveritas. Railroad
scenes show the Southern Pacific line in Santa Clara County, and the following California stations: Vasona, Simla, Los Gatos,
Monte Vista, and Sierra Azul (near Saratoga). Other views show Disneyland on opening day in 1955, Emigrant Gap, and Nevada
historic buildings in Virginia City, Dayton, and Rhyolite. Negatives show San Carlos Mission and the steamer Newark.
