Photographs from several construction projects, primarily in the San Francisco Bay Area, for which Lohwasser was an official
photographer. Subjects include the 1989 collapse of the Cypress St. Viaduct freeway (Oakland, Calif.), the seismic retrofit
of the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge, the demolition of the Embarcadero and 280 Freeways in San Francisco, construction
at the San Francisco International Airport, various architectural restoration projects in San Francisco (including San Francisco's
City Hall and the Palace Hotel), aerial views of San Francisco, and various housing developments including Joshua Park, Rancho
Santa Fe and Shaeffer Ranch. Also includes portfolio proofs of various projects and of magazine covers featuring Lohwasser's
works, as well as oversize clippings of articles on Lohwasser. 2009/2010 additions to the collection document the construction
of the East Span of the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge and Oakland City Center, as well as the following California water
projects: Englebright Dam, Folsom Dam repair, Hyperion wastewater treatment plant, Gilroy water treatment plant, Lincoln wastewater
plant, Contra Costa Canal, Lopez Dam, and City of Oceanside wastewater treatment plant.
