Abstract:
Collection contains six group portraits of unidentified insurance adjusters in San Francisco following the earthquake and
fire of 1906. In four of the portraits, they pose before the ruins of the San Francisco City Hall; in two they pose on the
steps of an unidentified building. Also included is an oversize view of the ruins of City Hall with one unidentified man posing
in the foreground. All the photographs were taken by Shaw and Shaw.
