Note:
William K. Spencer and Dorcas James Spencer lived in and around San Francisco in the late 19th century. They had six children:
William (d. 1879), Gardner (1866-ca. 1945), Annie, Charles, Fred, and Franklin (d. ca. 1933). The Spencer's owned various
mining claims near Grass Valley, Calif., which they incorporated under the name Queen Bee Mining Company.
