The existence of two manuscripts of the "Cenci" involved in Shelley's play of the same name (the original, and one copied
by Mary Shelly) seems evident. Both manuscripts were in the library of Buxton Forman (with his bookplate): the former listed
as no. 722 in the Forman sale, Mar. 16, 1920 contains 14 p.; the latter, of record as no. 79 in the Second sale from the general
stock of the Brick Row book shop, May 15, 1943 (American book-prices current, 1942-43, p. 443) is identified as the copy in
The Bancroft Library though a slight variation occurs in paging.
