Photographs show refugee camp life after the 1906 earthquake and fire in San Francisco, Calif. Women cooking on stoves set
up in the street, women washing in tubs, a man cooking over a fire on the ground, men sitting on lawns, surrounded by furniture,
and a group sitting down to eat at a carefully set table on the street with ruins visible in the background are pictured.
At least one camp pictured is in Golden Gate Park's panhandle. Some camp views show tents and shacks made of burned timbers
and other scraps.
