The Portland Hebrew School was established in Portland, Oregon in the early 1900s. Between 1916 and 1921, the school's enrollment
went from 30 students to 150 students. The school provided both boys and girls a Jewish education and focused on teaching
students to read, write, and speak in Hebrew.
