Abstract:
Snapshot photographs depicting multiple generations of the Rodrigues family and their Portuguese American ranching community
in the Los Alamos area of Santa Barbara County. Much of the collection pertains to Albert Veira Rodrigues, his wife Genowefa,
and his parents Jose (Joe) Rodrigues and Mary Pereira Rodrigues. Images chiefly depict groups of family and friends, especially
during leisure activities. Also includes photographs taken at Camp Roberts in San Luis Obispo County where Albert was stationed
during World War II, and others taken in Iran in the 1940s, again apparently during Albert's military service. Subject matter
of negatives duplicates that found among the prints.
