Abstract:

Collection includes three albums and a number of loose photos. Album 1 (1903-1916): miscellaneous snapshots, some from Berkeley; some amateur theatrical productions (including Phaedre) in the Greek Theatre; other San Francisco Bay Area scenes. -- Album 2 (1898-1921): includes family photos, some at Cloyne Court and Tree Haven (in Berkeley - built by James M. Pierce) ; Bohemian Grove, etc. -- Album 3 (1897): Trip to Japan (including Hawaii and Hong Kong) with views of Tokyo, Nagasaki, temples, and others (most hand colored). Loose photos include some tintypes.
