Hired in 1934, Trefethen remained Henry J. Kaiser's closest associate throughout Kaiser's lifetime. Remaining with the Company
after Kaiser's death in 1967, he eventually served as a Trustee for the voluntary liquidation of the Kaiser empire 1978-1979.
