Collection includes several rotogravure panoramic views of San Francisco taken after the 1906 earthquake and fire. Most of
the photomechanically reproduced views were published in weekly installments in the San Francisco Examiner. The collection
features a multi-part panoramic view from atop the Fairmont Hotel taken by Theodore Kytka, and other views - most of them
aerial- taken at various vantage points by the George R. Lawrence Co. (Lawrence developed a system of kites and wires - his
patented "Captive Airship"--Which supported a panoramic camera hundreds of feet above ground). The collection also includes
one panoramic view published by the Los Angeles Times and two views with no photographer's attribution
