Collection of documents relating to the administration of twenty New Mexican governors. Include records of legal proceedings;
reports concerning battles with the Indians; petitions from inhabitants of Albuquerque and elsewhere; decrees and orders concerning
Indians, presidios and missions. These documents, popularly known as the Bancroft Library's "New Mexico Originals," were collected
by Pinart. Other "Southwestern Originals" have been added to them.
