Abstract:
Majority of collection shows views of China, with an emphasis on agriculture. These views show demonstration farms, child
labor in the silk trade, villagers with produce for exhibition, farm life, water supply, agricultural extention workers from
the University of Nanking, comparisons of native crops with new introduced species, etc. Also includes views of the town of
Wusih, views along the Yangtze River, and other scenes from China including documentation of female victims of apparent war
crimes. The rest of the collection includes views from Lebanon, Australia, Bohemian Grove (Calif.), etc. Also includes portraits
of John B. Condliffe, Delmer M. Brown, Hillary Conroy, Dr. Glenn Hoover, Hubertus J. Van Mook, T.A. Bisson, Albert W. Wedemeyer,
and Alvin C. Eicholz.
