Rosalie J. Nichols (aka Nikki Nichols): author, lesbian activist, publisher, printer, member of Libertarian Party, devotee
of Ayn Rand, Ohlone ancestry. Editor and manager of Our Paper; affiliated with Ms. Atlas Press and publication Lesbian Voices.
Our Paper (also referred to by its front page logo: Our Paper, Your Paper) was published in San Jose, Calif. from 1982 to
1995. Its founders included Rosalie Nichols, Al Bonvouloir, Steve Century, Winn Crannell, David DeLong and Johnie Staggs.
Statements printed in first issue: Our Paper is a biweekly newspaper dedicated to inform, serve and entertain Gay men and
Lesbian women and their humanistic friends in Santa Clara County... Publicly we share numerous concerns: world hunger, nuclear
disarmament, uncontrollable inflation, spiraling taxes, diminished public services, dwindling natural resources, and the vanishing
American parking space... It is through a dedicated pursuit of human rights for all people that Our Paper will, hopefully,
become your paper.
