Norman Jacobson, born 1922, served as Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of California, Berkeley
from 1951-1989, holding the role of department chair fom 1974-1975, and of vice chair from 1957-1960. Jacobson continued to
be active at the University of California following his retirement in 1989. Besides his other ongoing campus commitments and
affiliations, he served as a consulting professor in the Dept. of Political 1995-2006.
