Abstract:
Consists of two diaries kept by Hairgrove. The first contains daily entries for 1921, including her move to Calif. with her
sister, Helen, and teaching in the English Dept. at Glendale High School. The second contains entries for a trip by car through
the Pacific Northwest, Canada and the Midwest with Helen and others in the summer of 1934, with visits to family; includes
a list of yearly salaries (presumably Mary's), 1916-1939. Also included are a "Student's Handbook of Illinois Wesleyan University,"
which contains printed material regarding the university and a notepad which lists Mary's classes in 1913, and a personal
account book for financial matters, 1916-1922.
